Text messages have become more popular than talking as a means of communication for a lot of people. So cell phone signatures have become more popular than ever.
A "cell phone signature" is a word or phrase that appears at the end of a text message. These signatures are usually limited to 15 characters or less, but they can consist of letters, numbers, and/or symbols. Spaces and uppercase or lowercase letters are possible too.

the message settings on your cell phone. (The method to do this varies from
phone to phone, so consult your phone’s operating manual.) Remember the limit on

Some cell phones have no signature option for text messages. You might have to create a workaround.
For example, on the Blackberry Pearl, there is no option to use a signature. But you can add your signature to a saved text form and use that form for your text messages.
On other phones, you can use a template with your choice of signature and use that for text messaging.

Your cell phone signature can be as creative as you want it to be, in spite of the character limit.
Many themes are available for your signature. You can use signatures related to your favorite movies, books or songs. Or you can use signatures to show your allegiance to a sports team.

If you love animals, then something like “I<3puppies” or “funky munky” might be suitable. You can even come up with random signatures like “spazy pop” or “yupp3rz” if you want to be a bit spontaneous.
Fine Tuning Your Cell Phone Signature
The next step is to choose how you want it to appear at the end of your text message. Not only can alphanumeric characters be used, but also various symbols and glyphs.
Some people choose to use symbols that have grown from Internet usage, such as the <3 symbol that is frequently used to represent the human heart. A signature can look like “~*I<3SODA*”, “~MuSiCisMyLiFe”, or even “~N3V3R.$@Y.N3V3R”.
The “~” symbol that is displayed prior to each signature is used on some phones to show that the following text in each message is a signature.
You should also refrain from using any derogatory or profane language in your
signature, if only for etiquette’s sake.
When creating a cell phone signature, choose one that is not only unique and
creative, but also one that you feel comfortable with. You can always change
this signature, especially if you come up with new and improved themes.
